What does Temporary mean?

Temporary definition - Short term MAAC membership for non-Canadian modellers.

Note – This membership is required for all pilots whose permanent home address is not in Canada, when flying in Canada. The other option is to become a full MAAC member.

The former mutual agreement between MAAC and the AMA is no longer in effect because of changes in Canada’s flying regulations.

Insurance

The MAAC insurance policy is only valid while flying in Canada.

Membership Fee and Term

The Temporary Foreign Membership Fee is $15.00 (Canadian) and is valid for 12 days starting on the effective date of your choosing.

MAAC Code of Conduct

All members MUST sign and adhere to the MAAC Code of Conduct as a condition of membership annually. You will be prompted to agree to the Code of Conduct before your membership dues can be processed.

Consequences of not signing or adhering to the MAAC Code of Conduct can range from non- admittance of membership, verbal or written warnings to suspension, termination, and even legal ramifications, depending on the severity of the violation.

Good Faith - Good faith refers to honesty, sincerity, and fairness in one's intentions and dealings with others. Acting in good faith means that a person believes they are doing the right thing without deceit or intention to defraud.

Membership Effective Date
Temporary membership expires twelve days from the effective date, or at the end of the calendar year (December 31), whichever comes first.

The membership period can be extended, by paying the difference between the Temporary membership fee and the full MAAC annual membership fee. Your membership (temporary or full) & MAAC number can be renewed in any future calendar year. Please retain your membership card and password for future use.
